SCREENING CANDIDATES

Leaders Personnel utilizes the following techniques in order to screen candidates:

  • Each consultant specialises in one or more job sectors. As a result the consultant who deals with your company will, if necessary, call in the assistance of another consultant during the screening process.

  • We utlize Competency Based Recruitment Techniques, resulting not only in minimizing the risk of discrimination allegations, but also in the delivery of a more effecient and focused service to our clients

  • Consultants are required to solicit from the client a detailed job specification. The job specification not only details the client's needs, but also focuses on the competencies required. 

  • The candidate interview includes the following procedures:

    • Completion of a check list and rating schedule of competencies

    • Behavioral event interviewing

  • The Account Manager who works with the client company always conducts the interview, but may (and frequently does) arrange for another consultant who has expertise in the required areas to conduct a further interview

  • Testing is carried out in order to verify competencies that cannot be varified by other means. Such tests include, but are not limited to the following competencies:

    • Typing

    • Spreadsheets

    • Word Processing

    • Visual aid preparation

    • Accounting knowledge

    • Debtors and Credit control

    • Creditors and Creditors control

    • Accounts reconciliation

    • E-mail

    • Clerical

  • Prior to referral to the client all candidates are referenced checked

  • With the permission of the candidate credit checks are carried out under the following circumstances:

    • Where it is a client requirement

    • Where the inherent features of the job require it (e.g. financial positions)
